First of all we think that the list of features for this inexpensive VTech Kidizoom Action Cam is pretty darn impressive.

Now no more worries about dropping their camera in the water as the VTech Kidizoom has a waterproof attachment that actually allows your kids to video record and take snapshots in water up to six feet deep. Can you just imagine how much fun your kids can have with that.

Two different attachments lets you mount this digital action camera to almost anything your kids wear or ride. It is really durable and has been kid tested.

The VTech camcorder comes with an adhesive mount for skateboards and helmets, and anything else you might want to stick it on.

Your kids videos and photos can be downloaded using the micro USB cable accessory which comes with your purchase.

One nice thing we found is that this “toy” action camera comes with a rechargeable battery which of course saves you money in the long run. It seems like with all the new toys available you end up spending more money on buying replacement batteries than what the toy actually costs in the first place.

The rechargeable battery that comes with the VTech Kidizoom Action Cam and will run for up to two and a half hours while video recording. We think this is the ideal action camera for kids from about four to ten years of age.

The Kidizoom is capable of holding and recording up to four hours of 640 x 480 video resolution or 278,400 photos. If that’s not enough you can improve the storage using the microSD card slot with a 32 GB microSD card which is sold separately.

Videos are saved as AVI files and Photos are saved as JPG files.

The VTech Kidizoom Action Cam also comes with three built-in games: Mountain Bike; Super Boarder; and skydiving Crazy Captain.

What Might Not Be So Good

This kid’s action cam has so much going for it that it’s hard to find something wrong with it. If you really want to dig deep, the cam does not have the ability to record HD videos and the 1.4 inch color LCD screen might be a wee bit too small.

However, that being said we still think this VTech Kidizoom Action Cam for the price and the extensive list of features that are so easy to use is ideal for kids and easy on your wallet or pocketbook for adults.
